Had a cardinal with my coffee this morning. And a robin, too.
Do they think it’s spring after it got into the fifties yesterday? And where did they hide during the storm? Why am I taking pictures of birds and asking stupid questions?
I think it’s time to log off and slowly back away from the keyboard.
Gerry, your invited to go on a birding walk at Sharon Audubon on Super Bowl Sunday…that will get it out of your system!
Thanks Marshall. Let me get back to you on that…
Why? Because you’re always thinking of your blog audience and we appreciate it.
Thank you, Linda.
I have been talking to my mom everyday this winter and she has a birdfeeder in the front lawn. She is able to look out the window and she has been telling me she has been seeing Cardinals, Robins and Blue Jays for the past three weeks. Now considering my mom is 88 I let her tell me her stories about her ‘friends’ the birds and how her cat even climbed a tree near the feeder thinking he could catch a bird, but no bird went into the tree while he was there. Then the cat went in, and he walked across the window and tried to ‘catch’ a bird that way. There have been times in which sometimes a bird does fly into that window…luckily while the window is closed. I have seen that happen myself.
As for here, I’ve only seen dozens of squirrels. I’ve never seen so many of them in one area. Where did they come from??? I don’t understand this. I think you should ask the wonderful weatherman there. 🙂
was the title of this entry about the birds or you??
Depends on the time of day.
Taking time to notice the birds and sharing the moment – nothing bad about that Gerry.
True. And I do wonder where they hung out during that storm.
And why are they dry after a big rain. Also, who
de-ices the birds after snow and ice so that they can take off safely?
Union birds.
This might help answer your questions, Gerry.

Thank you!
Funny..as I walked to my car this morning, it sounded like Spring. Birds were chirping all over; it was very strange and made me wonder if I had missed most of winter or if the birds were “a little off”?! Still pondering that…..
isn’t nature grand?
