Going Lowe

The baseball playoffs begin without the Red Sox, and that’s just fine.

The Olde Towne Team had a fine year under the circumstances, and those circumstances left them unable to keep up with the Rays and Yankees.  C’est la vie.

I can root for old favorites Derek Lowe of the Braves and Bronson (Worse trade than Sparky Lyle for Danny Cater) Arroyo of the Reds.

But if you need a Sawx fix, here it is.  A greatest hits video compilation of Adrian Beltre having fits every time a teammate (especially Victor Martinez) rubs his head.  (Thanks to Peter Abraham of the Boston Globe.)

And hey, how about a Twins-Reds World Series?  (Just to give FOX a fit.)

Somehow I suspect that’ll be the last time we see Beltre’s reaction to the head rub while wearing a Red Sox uniform.

I’m a NY fan but unfortunately do not believe this is their year.

How about a Twins/Tampa (can’t fill their seats during their regular great year, 12,000!!) ! now thats sticking it to FOX and their lousy announcers !! yeaaaaaaaaa

I’m enjoying the playoffs so far, enough former RedSox to root for. Nice game for Roy, he even hits 🙂 Love the video.

Aw, I miss Beltre already. Hope we don’t have to miss Victor, too… But Henry and Co. took out a full-page ad in the Globe promising to make the team better next season. In my mind, that would include breaking the bank for Beltre. You never know.
