I think it’s because, as we say in the news biz, it’s “hyper-local.” (And it’s really well done.)
And For Some Reason, I’m a Sucker for This, Too…

I don’t blame you one bit, Gerry. It does promote a business that has a huge presence in Connecticut.
The kids in the choir are cute and Connecticut landmarks are featured – what more could you ask for!
A 10% discount?
That Big Y ad is a good one. I like the 10% discount idea! I miss the Maxwell coffee and the Anheuser Busch/Budweiser ads ~ didn’t see even ONE of ’em this season. Happy New Year, Gerry, to you and the dearly beloved. Thank you for another year of outstanding news reporting and your blog that makes me smile/chuckle/LOL on a daily basis.
I haven’t seen the version on your blog – I’ve been seeing the version they shot last year. The group of kids in the chorus is the same, however. I love the little blond girl at the end. She looks so happy and has the best twinkle in her eyes. I hope the kids got something good – like free ice cream for life or something. It must be exciting to see themselves on TV. Have a wonderful, happy, healthy and safe New Year.
Wendy and Linda…thank you both for being loyal viewers and readers, and I always appreciate your comments.
The best for the new year to you both.
I was there yesterday, even rang the bell as I went out the door.. : )
Must be something new, or I just never noticed it before, but if you’ve had good service they ask you to please ring…
Anyways……………..
Here is wishing you & Mrs Brooks, a very Healthy& Happy New Year.
And the very same to you, Ms. Summers.
