Classy, Theo

As he leaves the Red Sox for the Cubs, Theo Epstein took out a full page ad in the Sunday Boston Globe.

Nice move.

Yeah, he brought the likes of Lackey and Lugo to Boston.  So what?      He also helped us see something many of our parents never got to see.  The Red Sox win not one, but two World Series.

So thanks right back atcha, Theo.  Good luck in Chicago.  Wouldn’t a Red Sox-Cubs World Series be something?

  1. Li'l Em-Kel says:

Theo, whose great-uncle Julius wrote the screenplay for Casablanca, was heard to say in an emotional farewell at the Boston airport, “We’ll always have Papi.”

  2. I was going to write something about Theo’s grandfather and granduncle writing a pretty good story..

One in which exit visas , getting the hell out of Dodge papers, played a big role. Typically, Li’l em beat me to it.

  3. Nomar says:

I don’t remember Theo pitching or batting in either World Series. An open pocketbook and lax rules in the clubhouse. GOOD RIDDANCE!
