Once again, Connecticut basketball fans get to breathe the rarefied air of not one, but two Final Fours.
And once again, Geno and Jim have done something that most coaches would sacrifice a body part to do just once in their careers. That’s why they’re Hall of Famers.
But they wouldn’t be in Indianapolis and Houston this weekend without two sterling examples of what college sports can be about. What college sports should be about.
Maya and Kemba.
Connecticut is on a first-name basis with these two true student-athletes. I was going to write a longer post extolling their virtues, but I just read Jeff Jacobs’ column in the Courant, and I wouldn’t do any better. So here it is.
Enjoy the weekend. Enjoy your last looks at Maya and Kemba in UConn uniforms.
