Happy Easter

Easter weekend can be anywhere from 45 to 80 degrees.  It can be snowy or sunny.  And this weekend, we’ve hit the jackpot.

The daffodils are up, the forsythia in bloom.  Golf balls are flying and motorcycles rumbling.

Yeah, it’s April 4th, but for some reason a weekend like this makes me want to say, “Happy New Year.”  Enjoy.

Yes, even here in SC, where snow is rarely in the forecast, it is often 48 overnight and 88 during the day. The unpredictability of it all was something I really missed during my brief stint in South Florida, where the range of weather goes from hot to hotter to unbearable. And the pine pollen never ceases to amaze me!

    Gerry,

EXCELLENT use of the plural possessive!

  3. Beckie says:

    Happy New Year Gerry!

Our church does a “living cross” every Easter. It’s a wooden cross about 3 ft tall covered in chicken wire. The congregation brings in flowers from their garden and attach them to the cross thru the wire. The end result is stunning!

The past few years, we’ve had to bring flowers that were purchased. This year, that was not the case. Vibriant yellow forsythia and daffodils mixed with hyacinths, a few tulips and some flowers I didn’t recognize (I’m not a gardener.)

    It really feels like spring!

  4. It is a beautiful day, the sun is shining, it’s 74 degrees right now. What a way to feel alive!

Whether you are celebrating Easter or Passover, i want to Thank Gerry for letting us having our say, for letting us wish each other happiness. Right now things are going well, and all is right with the world.

So, as Gerry said…’Happy New Year”! Enjoy!!
