What’s wrong with this picture? It’s raining there. It snowed here on the south coast of North Carolina this morning. I saw a robin wearing an L.L. Bean red down vest. The golfers were putting chains on their cart tires.
I have friends who moved to N.C. so they wouldn’t have to deal with the snow anymore. They sold their snowblower, shovels, and rock salt. I was doing my best not to laugh while I watched the rain coming down here.
My mother in NY is complaining of the snow, I keep asking the weathermen here for some, but so far it hasn’t happened in a while. I’ll switch with you on the rain and the snow.

Thank you. That was right off the top of my head. I did the ‘sloshy’ thing this morning in the muck and I felt like my shoes were going to get stuck.
I do poetry on my own from time to time. I do them from the top of my head. If I had to sit and think about it, I’d go back and forth too many times and get upset with myself.
I started to save my writings when I was 13,,, talk about being ‘mushy’. LOL
Gerry, You are right. Snow is more entertaining. I would challenge NBC 30 to stretch out coverage on rain as long as they do on snow! ***Woman at gas station*** “Lady, What do think of this rain?” “Well, it certainly is getting everthing quite wet and it makes my hair all frizzy.” See, not quite as cutting edge as snow coverage.
I wasn’t thinking “entertaining” in that respect, but your point is a hoot, and well taken.
I feel so sorry for the truckers…dealing with this crazy weather. Look at 84, in NY, CLOSED for 30 miles!
It’s a tough enough life without having to deal with the weather.
You really need Frankie the Fish hanging up on your kitchen wall. That would cheer you up!

I started to laugh when I heard and saw on the news the mention of Tuxedo, NY which is only about 15 -20 (depending on who was driving and the weather) from where I had lived after moving to NY in 1973. Plus I’m getting info that they have close to 3 feet of snow. The news tonight showed Monroe, NY where I had lived as well… in a bungalo – only heat was a stove pipe oven. Then they showed Morristown, NJ which was where I worked before moving back ‘home’ to CT in 2005. I remember that fall I called my dad I was getting pelted by hail and my dad’s response was ‘What do you expect you live in Connecticut now?’.
I called my mom and told her what I had seen about Tuxedo and Rt 84 and Morristown, and her response was,,, I can’t remember the last time I saw so much snow before. Instead of telling her it was a few years ago, I said I had seen it on T.V. I couldn’t bear to tell her that I don’t even think we had gotten an inch even that here in Middletown. I did however mention that my son took the right time off to be on a cruise with the ‘guys’ this week.
To be honest, I’d take snow more rather than the rain we have been getting.
