A PhD @ QU via TMZ?

Someone from Quinnipiac University says the school  will be “more attentive” when it sends interns to work at David Letterman’s show in the future.  This from tmz.com, no less.

Something tells me this won’t be a problem for a couple of reasons.

Letterman can’t step out of line again.  He may be horny, but he ain’t crazy.

And after this story, he’ll be asking which schools the interns come from.   I’ll betcha Quinnipiac won’t be one of them.

  1. Kathryn D. says:

As an alumnus of QU, it is embarassing that the school’s name is entered into this fray. Apparently an unauthorized staff professor made the remark. He or she will not be heard from again – that is for sure! (Many QU interns also are assigned to NBC in NYC, too!)

  2. I posted a link to this on Facebook and it started quite a lively thread.

QU’s PR people are clueless anyway. Remember this?

Evidently, they don’t even allow students to speak to the media without getting clearance.

I thought QU had a fine rep, but I’m beginning to wonder now.

    • Gerry says:

Kathryn and Terry, QU’s come a long way over the past 20 years.
The school has been aggressive in trying to establish itself as a “voice” in Connecticut, and this time, someone apparently got a little too aggressive.

  3. Li'l Em-Kel says:

I think a lot would depend on what profession the intern is training for.

  4. Rick D says:

Gerry, I still do not get this whole Letterman story. If someone from NBC local news was having sex with interns, I willing to bet there would be an imposed vacation. Don’t you agree? Or is CBS telling us ratings are more important than ethics?
