The Circle Game

On a day that top NBC Universal executives are visiting the new NBC Connecticut building, we take a moment to remember a man who helped grow little old Channel 30.

John Palmer died this week.  He was 85.  John did a lot of things at and for WKNB/WNBC/WHNB/WVIT between his hiring in 1956 and his retirement in 1990.

I’ve been thinking of John since his son Bob called with the news, and the thing I remember most about him is his smile.  I can only see him smiling.

I think that’s a nice way to be remembered.

About Gerry

I've been covering Connecticut news and sports since 1974. I know, I don't look that old.
