“If I get gun-shy, then I’m not going to be relevant.”

That’s what CNBC’s Jim Cramer (“Mad Money”) told the New York Times, in reaction to Jon Stewart ripping Cramer, Rick Santelli, and CNBC a new one on “The Daily Show.”

Mr. Cramer, who calls himself a lifelong Democrat, said last week that the administration’s agenda was “destroying the life savings of millions of Americans.”  (New York Times)

And he likes a good time too!

And he likes a good time too!

From what I know about Jim Cramer, he’s packed a lot of living into his 54 years.  He’s been a reporter, a lawyer, a hedge fund manager, and now, the most dynamic personality on a cable channel that has never been more relevant.

A friend whose judgment I trust implicity tells me he’s more than entertaining, he’s riveting.

My question is, in the worst economic downturn of our lifetime…when so many people take what cable hosts say as the gospel…is he dangerous?

Hi Gerry – back from travels again….

Cramer is dangerous if he’s the only voice you listen to. The scarier it gets, the more important it is to seek out reasonable opinions from multiple sources, and then make your own INFORMED decisions. Kinda like doing your homework. (Gee, that sounds a little familiar.)

We can only hope. Welcome back!
