I hate to feed the fevered ego (thank you, Bill Hicks) of Boston Globe sports columnist Dan Shaughnessy, but today he truly mastered the art of taking up space.

"Is that guy from the Globe stalking us?"

"Is that guy from the Globe stalking us?"

Taking Tom to task for letting Gisele feed him by the pool.  Really, Dan.  (And if you have to ask who Tom and Gisele are, you’re in the wrong place.)

If you click here, you’ll see the reason Dan wrote the column.  His editor probably said, “Danny boy, write something…anything…that’ll let us run these pictures.”

How perfect.  Gentlemen, wouldn’t you love to take Tom’s place in those pictures, even for a moment?  Ladies, wouldn’t you enjoy bumping Gisele aside, just to hear Tom whisper sweet nothings?  (If you’re gay, just switch the “gentlemen” and “ladies.”)

As for Dan, former Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling has long referred to him as “CHB” (curly-haired boyfriend).   It makes more sense now.

About Gerry

I've been covering Connecticut news and sports since 1974. I know, I don't look that old.

I read Dan’s article yesterday and was immediately struck by CHB’s obvious intense jealousy of our boy Tommy (or maybe Gisele?!). 😉 Ah, such a man, so comfortable in his skin, who can show his softer side. While he’s a little young for me in the long run, I’d happily trade places with Gisele for an afternoon, or an overnight. Ahem.

Or maybe linger a little longer…
