An Awesome Adventure

With extreme emphasis on “awe.”

Here is a final collection of pictures from our trip to South Africa.  This was one trip I wished I had a better camera for, but my 3-year-old Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 point-and-shoot continues to serve me well.

For all the places we’ve been and all the places we hope to go, an African safari was never on our radar.  We were lucky to be in the company of a fun bunch of people.  And we are grateful to NBC Connecticut President & General Manager Ric Harris for inviting us along.  We now have memories that will last a lifetime.

The reason you don’t look so old Gerry, Is that you have replaced all your mirrors with pictures of yourself in earlier years………….Now , the reason you don’t act your age………….Hhhhmmmmm, Some of us will never grow up…….We think/hope !!! But, You’re still crazy after all these years ! Enjoy life !! The African trip looks fantastic, one of my dreams in my bucket list.

Thanks for sharing another wonderful adventure with us. Your 3 year old camera did just fine! You really ought to put together a book of all your trips with all your pictures and your wonderful commentary. It would be a fascinating read! Self-publishing is really big now!

You just made my little one’s day with all the animal pictures! We’ve just spent the last 20 mins. looking at them, snuggling and making up stories about the animals. Thanks, Gerry!

I am no Holy Roller by any means,,even though Catholic School seemed to be my forte at the time.
With that said, you have to ask yourself, how on earth can one say there is no higher power, when you look at this world with all its beauty, especially the animals… Just takes my breath away….
